What We Lack In Malaysia's Football?

Lets be practical guys.

Our football despite the recent win of SEA Games Football Gold medal, is far from what we would want to be proud of.

We want to be like the South Koreans. They are, to me, undoubtedly the best team in Asia.

So where's the problem?

Is it because football is not big enough back home as compared to South Korea?

No, I dont think their football there is any bigger than us in Malaysia. We are equally as crazy as them about football as them.

So the one million dollar question is really; Why we are not as good as them? Not even near?

Well, I have thought about this for sometime, and then, I found the answer.

First, we need to get our own M-League back to where it supposed to be.

The interest.

Thats the most important part. Our football matches at home need to be more interesting.

We must find ways to increase the matches' attendance, and the revenue generated can then benefit the football progress.

So, we must emulate the Koreans:

Watch this. This is a very ingenious way to increase the interest among our fans to go to our stadiums to watch football.

Such a genious way to address our lack of support for our own football.

See, these people, the way they reacted, like Korea has won the World Cup. Ha ha ha.

If one day I become a millionaire, I will find this group to perform for Perak Road Koh Tai during the Hungry Ghost Month. Heheheh

Christmas means nothing to me in the past 23 years or so.

Other than cartoons on tv.

What's the difference between Christmas, Raya and Chinese New Year?

Well, i think;

I would tend to believe that Chinese New Year is the one that started the whole thing of financial redistribution policy among friends and family.

Those who earn money will distribute angpows to those who are not earning - which is a general rule of thumb.

Some will say its the married distributing angpows to those who are not, but still, some of the singles give angpows to their brothers and sis and parents as well. So i think it is more like the strongs ( financially have's - regardless of amount) helping the weaks (financially have not's - or older ppl la..)

See how about friends? The 15 days of the CNY are the only 15 days that my mum would allow me to gamble. With no restrictions. I can even bring friends home and start the sarang. She would even jaga line for us, in case police, because my area is quite dodgy with police, wanted their ang pow as well by busting these sarangs. I never done that yet. My bro has done that year in year out.

Raya Aidilfitri has got their own duit raya - packet hijau policy but is that a copy thingy or their own policy. But it doesnt matter at all. Still the same concept. Redistribute. and also gives ppl a reason to celebrate. Things get more meaningful when money got involved. Hehe.

And of coz, raya you wouldnt have gambling i guess.

So, christmas. Christmas is a bit different. They dont give cash.

See westerners are so economically oriented in everything they do. Instead of giving cash to someone, which then the money might stuck in the bank for a few years which is not doing its stimulating effect on the micro economy.

Instead, they started the whole culture thingy of giving presents. To the extend of the creation of the obviously-fake-imaginary pressies giving uncle.

Also, recently I was exposed for the first time- the Secret Santa.

Whereby, u specify what you want exactly.

This is - annual economy restimulating package.

Well done Santa.

Ps: Najib- take note. we dont need the third stimulating package. Just give us monthly xmas.

The Star: Employers - Let workers off early to watch the final

KUALA LUMPUR: Employers were urged to allow their workers to go home earlier to enable them to watch the live telecast of the Malaysia-Vietnam football final at the 25th SEA Games in Vientiane, Laos.

Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Datuk Razali Ibrahim said the match would be carried live by RTM at 6pm on Thursday.

“Perhaps the employers can allow their workers to go home earlier or provide television sets at the offices to enable them to watch the match,” he said in reply to a supplementary question from Senator Fatimah Hamat in the Dewan Negara on Wednesday.

Malaysiakini: State rep's wife loses 6 LV bags in robbery

Six luxury Louis Vuitton (LV) handbags belonging to the wife of Teruntum assemblyperson Chang Hong Seong were among the valuable items burgled from their house in Lorong Seri Kuantan yesterday.

Chang said the burglary took place when he and his family were in Kuala Lumpur to send off his eldest son to Italy under a student exchange programme.

"The family went to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday afternoon and we came back here yesterday at about 6pm.

"When I opened the front door, I was shocked to find my house ransacked," he told reporters at his house today.

Chang said that after he had inspected all the rooms, he found that his wife's LV bags were missing, along with three laptops, jewellery including his wedding ring, a collection of branded watches, and cash, all amounting to RM60,000.

He said police investigation revealed that the suspects had entered through the back door by breaking the padlock and cutting the iron grille in the kitchen.

Kuantan CID chief DSP Kamaruzzaman Jaafar confirmed a police report had been made on the burglary.

The funny bit of the story: wait hold your horses, I am not saying anything yet. Not accusing him of corruption, or anything like that.

Now I dont even know which side is he coming from, is it BN or PR?

Is it true that he must be BN's? Because his wife can afford 6LV's?

Come-on... (He is BN btw)

The funny bit is when I read his blog's profile:

Welcome to my blog. I was borne in Sungai Lembing 44 years ago. Growing up in a poor family, I deeply understand the need to work hard to earn your living. I also strongly believe in doing good karma as taught by our Great Buddha. Hope to help those needy people out there and bring them happiness and joy of living ! As the newly elected State Assemblyman for Teruntum, I welcome all constructive comments and feedbacks on all problems in Kuantan.

28/4's anthem

See...our house inhabited by 4 human right now..has quite an interesting mix.

We have got one 3rd year medical student, 4th year medical student, 5th year medical student, and a PhD student.

Now, if i dont give u any other additional information, to answer a questionaire to rank these 4 people from the freest to the busiest, obviously you would infer;

3rd year > 4th year > 5th year > and the busiest PhD.

No. thats a very big misconception.

Busyness (different from "business") defined by Ang's Edinburgh English Dictionary (as opposed to the popular Oxford dictionary) - as the amount of free time you take away from yourself.

It is a massive public misconception that busyness is determined by the amount of workload you have got.

Life as a student, regardless course or field, you have got no workload until 2 weeks before exam.

So, in 28/4 Sciennes Road,

Those who are above 5th year (which means the 5th year medic dude and PhD in Electronic & Engineering dude) are the freest.

We are so free until we had voted among yourselves (just the two of the freest) the house anthem - the Girl Generation Ci Ci Ci.

Why? why them?

Is it because we are shallowly attracted to their superficial beauty?

and their cuteness?

Or is it their mediocre vocal abilities?

Or their amateur dance moves?

No. We are matured students. One final year and one PhD as u can see.

Both under JPA and Mara. One gonna be Dr Panadol and specialist in selling M.C. Another one gonna be Dr lecturer.

Anyway, the truth is: we find the content of the lyrics to be in line and consistent with our house philosophy.

With what our founding fathers had believed in since nationhood. With what we believe who and what we are, as a proud housist of the 28/4.

Nah the lyrics::

(just the excerpt:)

Oh Oh let’s go

You're so so handsome, my eyes, my eyes are blinded
i can't breath because i'm trembling

Gee Gee Gee GeeBaby baby baby
Gee Gee Gee GeeBaby baby baby

Oh i feel so embarrassed, i can't look at you
i feel shy because i've fallen in love

Gee Gee Gee GeeBaby baby baby
Gee Gee Gee GeeBaby baby baby

What should i do (what should i do)
About my trembling heart (my trembling heart)
My heart kept thumping do
i coulnd't fall asleep at night

I guess i guess I'm a fool
A fool that knows you only you
Yes as i look at you

So bright So bright my eyes are blinded
No no no no
So suprised suprised i'm shocked

oh oh oh oh oh
so tingly tingly
my body is trembling
Gee gee gee gee gee

(Can you imagine these 9 koreans chix singing this to your ear?)

Nota bena (pls google for the meaning to add comprehension to this final line)

Nota bena - The 3rd year and 4th year are obviously not relevant to this song at all, as you can see.

Ha ha ha.

True Love

And you've been punked by the title!

No way I am gonna share it here la...

HA HA HA. Such a hansome face.

ps: For those who do not get the joke, this is a silly post just to make sure I have got at least one entry a day.

Dr M

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed has poured scorn on the oratory skills of Singapore’s former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew in a documentary – “Mahathir” shown on the Starhub History Channel last Sunday at 8pm.

The two-part documentary relates the tumultuous political career of Dr Mahathir who lost his parliamentary seat in the 1969 election and was sacked from his party UMNO before making a stunning comeback as Education Minister in 1974.

Dr Mahathir was to become Malaysia’s fourth Prime Minister in 1981. He is credited with modernizing Malaysia which was largely an agricultural country back then.

The elder statesman was no fan of Lee and had several heated arguments with him in the Dewan Rakyat when Singapore was part of Malaysia in the period 1963 – 65.

In the documentary, Dr Mahathir criticized Lee for his propensity to give long speeches. He claimed that Lee became flustered after he interjected his speech repeatedly with sharp questions which he could not answer.

Both parties almost come to blows with each other in a heated exchange on 25 September 1964 when Dr Mahathir (then MP for Alor Star) made the following stinging remark towards Lee in the Dewan Rakyat:

“They (Singaporean Chinese) have never known Malay rule and cannot bear the idea that the people they have so long kept under their heels should now be in a position to rule them.”

Lee Kuan Yew shot back:

“Of course there are Chinese millionaires in big cars and big houses. Is it the answer to make a few Malay millionaires with big cars and big houses? … If we delude people into believing that they are poor because there are no Malay rights or because opposition members oppose Malay rights, where are we going to end up?”

Relationships between Singapore and Malaysia were prickly during Mahathir’s reign as Prime Minister and were frequently strained over unresolved bilateral issues like the sale of water to Singapore from the southern state of Johor.

Lee did not visit Dr Mahathir during his recent visit to Malaysia in June which drew a sarcastic remark from the latter than he was not a important figure.

True to his combative nature, Dr Mahathir wrote an acerbic article on his blog chedet lampooning Lee as a “little emperor”:

“During Lee Kuan Yew’s triumphant visit to Malaysia he made it known to the Malaysian supplicants that Singapore regards the lands within 6000 miles radius of Singapore as its hinterland. This includes Beijing and Tokyo and of course Malaysia……..All those who met the great man from the little country were lectured on how Malaysia should be run. We should not have anymore problems now. We have been told the direction to take……I have a lot more to say about this little Emperor but I will reserve it for later.”

Surprisingly, the litigious Lee has never sued Dr Mahathir for defamation in court despite the latter’s obvious contempt for him.

In fact, Lee was forced to issue a rather humiliating public apology to the Malaysian government led by Dr Mahathir in 1997 when he made disparaging remarks about Johor being an unsafe place “notorious for shootings, robberies and car-jacking” in an affidavit filed against WP candidate Tang Liang Hong for defamation.

The second part of the documentary will be shown this Sunday at 8pm on History Channel (Starhub Channel 9)

New Moon.

Seriously. Refund my 5quid.

And the 2 hours of my life back.

It was a total max waste of my time.

Macam princes diary. Dear alice dear alice! What the?!

Boddoooh la. Cerita korea pun lagi laju dari new moon.

I can summarise the whole 2 hrs into 3 lines:

1. Mr Vampire in love with the girl too much, got emo, and then ciao.

2. Mr Wolf became wo-wo, also quite in love with the girl, got emo and then ciao.

3. Mr Vampire back and Mr wolf emo. The end.

If you want a more longwinded story...then it would be:

1. Mr Vampire ciao, girl got bored, bought 2 bikes

2. Mr Wolf took a few weeks to reconstruct the two bikes

3. The girl rempit for 10 secs and oh wait:

And when someone is bleeding, you dont blardy take off your shirt to wipe it right? hyperbola max. Logic la if u can give a plaster.

Next time if it is raining, I think i wanna take off my shirt and make it an umbrella. U think everyone also like mr wolf so like to show off ar? u tot u alone got muscle? i also got. size dif a bit only k.

4. Back to the story line, Mr wolf become a chubby hairy wowo, got emo and chau...

5. After a day or two, wowo not emo anymore, he then brought the girl to see some wowo-dog fight.

6. Mr Vampire called the girl, heard a guy voice, and because of then, thinking to commit suicide.

7. Girl saved Mr Vampire.

8. Mr vampire emo no more. Back with Girl.

9. Mr wolf pasrah and emo.

10. Mr vampire ask the girl to marry him.

Ps: No significant character die, NONE. So nothing changes. Who dies in this new moon? Only the black vampire with funny hair, the chinese guy ?forest guard, and a group of tourist in italy.

Lemma, a group of tourist brought to a castle by their tour guide and for the vampires to eat them all. Ha ha ha. Lawak macam max.

Next year, comes Newer Moon

I think this time our wolf friend killed by a hunter, our mr vampire emo again and fly to italy, and new boy in school, again, the girl in love with him, but later found out that he is..

Keluang man.

This is the coolest thing I've ever seen!

Here's the link.

A swedish dude called Hans Rosling's work on data of the world's poverty, child expectancy and etc.

I searched for malaysia's data and by default it sets as the data of income vs health:

and if you click on Play, then you will see how Malaysia progressed since 1800, in terms of money income per person and child expectancy.

and the coolest thing is that you can change the axis to other things, a variety of choices, from everything to everything!

Maybe I sounded a bit too excited but seriously:

This is DAMN ganas!

Win-Ter 2.0

Why I hate winter?

1. The temperature obviously. Waking up in the morning, and getting out of the duvet feels like a baby coming out from the amniotic bag, the difference is dat we dont cry, we swear.

2. We all like sunlight. Sunlight signifies happiness. Daylight, as the word suggests, means day: means time to do things outdoor. During winter, like now, 4.30pm feels like 8pm. So we cook our dinner earlier, eat earlier, get hungry earlier, and eat supper and get fat and etc etc.

3. The scam of chixness. During winter, everyone wears thick jacket. So there is no way we can accurately rate the chixness level. So many times we tot the girl is chix and thin, only to be disappointed when she opens the....jacket.

4. Also, on the similar note, winter means no more short skirts, no more lepas 0.5 bola. Ha ha ha.

5. More importantly, footie games will be more and more rare and far in between.

6. Winter also signifies the end of a year, which in another way, tells us, we are getting closer and closer to graduation...working....marrying....parenting....dying....etc etc...

7. And i dont celebrate xmas, dont know how to enjoy it. Not without the many many cartoons shown on tv when I was a little kid.

8.Winter means flu, means cannot call home or else my mum would be giving me 30 mins lecture on how to keep warmth. Among her annual advices are: my favourite- drink milo, stating the obvious- bath with warm water, dont go out in the rain and wear more clothing.

9. Last but not least, winter means higher need for heating, means higher heating bill, means more money out, means.... less money to spend.

This is the most depressing part of the year.

Yesterday we celebrated the arrival of December 2009 with almost zero degree celcius.

And the most babi part is that:

It was freaking sunny!

With this kind of weather, it is almost like extreme prank. You wake up with a smile on your face thinking that woh! a sunny day!

and then with a simple t-shirt and a jacket, as you step out of the door, you immediately realise that you;ve been punked!

This time of the year, you dont even need a fridge, just put your milk, meat, etc etc outside of the window. The temperature is almost that of a fridge.

Shitly depressing man....arrgghhh!

Now dont feel even like going anywhere or do anything. Including classes.

Dont blame me, blame the weather!

Selangor banned their civil servants and students of the state-owned institutions from attending the BTN courses.

I think it is a foolish move.

It just showed that PR is of no different from BN. Why stopping people from attending BTN? You can just do another BTN yourself and put forward your version for us to hear.

Why need to treat us the rakyat the way BN have been treating us for the past 52 years? That we need help in understanding who are we, and how we should think. That if it is left to us interprete things ourselves, we will be lost somewhere and go sesat. Exactly the same frustration I had with the ban of the word Allah for the Christians.

Confuse or not, good for us or not, facts are there for us to interpret, not for you to decide on our interpretation.

Yes, some say, in fact, many say that BTN preaches some degree of racism. Some degree yes. As in the interpretation of the historical facts into the BN's/UMNO's way:

ie we need to accept that the Malays are the natives, and they gave the non-malays a place in this country.

I had been to the camp and one of the guys did put it through that way, but, with much more care and subtle wordings. But to be honest, I acknowledged his interpretation as his and actually it was a fair interpretation.

But, he didnt blatantly ask me to go back China or what not. He put it to me that there should be some form of understanding and acknowledgement of the Malay's willingness to accept other races, and so we need some form of tolak ansur to move forward together.

Now thats quite true, in some ways.

But accepting Malay's privilledges does not equal accepting the rich and well off' Malays should get privilledges because they are malays. Classic example: AP scheme. Malays in kampung doesnt get AP. Not even 1 sen.

and the biggest pain in the ass is when hearing some people who are driving mercedes and having all the contracts in the world crying help and injustice that Malays being deprived. Pls show me how much you had helped your people before telling me that they needed help.

I think rite, to me, this is the part of medicine I need to master.

Because if i cannot do A&E, i have to run very fast if there is anything happened near me. Like some fat woman knocked down and landed on a skinny man.

Regardless of what specialty (if there is ever any), A&E would be the one that I will try my best to master.

Today did some suturing. Lemma, I kesian that auntie already.

Surely the wound will leave a big ugly scar, but it was on top of her head anyway.

My advice to all auntie above 80 years old, with high risk of falling...

If you think your grandma will one day fall down and hit the head and require A&E stitches,

Pls cut her hair botak.

Reduce risk of infection, and easier for us to see.

Enjoying A&E very much because...

jeng jeng jeng...

if i wake up at 9.30am, i'll go in at 10am. If i wake up after ten, I'll go in at 2pm. If I lazy, I can just say I am going for the night shift.

Ah...this type of timetable suits me.

KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIA'S deputy education minister has said that speaking English in the workplace is 'weird' and harmful to the nation's culture and identity, a report said on Wednesday.

Mr Mohd Puad Zarkashi said employees in the private sector used English 99 per cent of the time and should switch to Bahasa Malaysia in order to show pride in the national language, the New Straits Times reported.

'This also occurs in government-linked companies where we have this weird culture of people speaking to each other in English instead of the national language,' he said at the launch of a linguistics seminar. 'We are polluting our own culture and identity as a nation,' he said.
'It would be difficult to strengthen the position of Bahasa Malaysia if this culture continued,' he added, urging Malaysians to emulate the French, Japanese and Koreans, who stuck to their own language.

The New Straits Times said Mr Mohd Puad also criticised young people for using a mix of English and Bahasa Malaysia in SMS text messages and on the Internet.

He called on the nation's leaders to use Bahasa Malaysia for all meetings and events and said that when he receives letters in English he returns them and asks for them to be written in the national language. -- AFP

Today is quite, what i termed as: self-made-busy day.

Started off the day with the football tournament called mini-World cup, which is among international students.

So now i can write in my CV - national player.

After 3 games of 8 mins each, we lost two and won one! yeay! and so knocked out.

Then, awe and me rushed to another game, this one playing for koreans, in 7 a side versus chinese.

I officially fell in love with 7 a side. Right momentum game for me.

Injured shoulder, palm and ankle.

And tomorrow, 1230pm, the last game of the year. i mean, the last game which i would organise.

after this, i wont organise already la. if no one takes over, then i rather not playing or just play on and off with the koreans.

after 4 years of organising bola, it is the day to call it off. I think i self-made busy a lot. and one of it is the weekly football.

better start revising soon.

- on the way walking home from princes st in the rain, met an auntie from Indonesia with her 9 year old mix angmohs daughter - damn chun. they asked me where's the old college, and as I walking past there anyways, i offered to walk them there.

9 years old, so by the time i become millionaire and looking for mistress, she is about 26, wow...peak age. zaman subur. good.

and the auntie seemed to be so impressed by my final year medical student tag.

next time go back malaysia, wanna wear a head-tag - I am a doctor. You got a daughter?

(NB - Not word by word of course..)

FINALS is probably the most babi scam known to mankind.

Finals is actually the opposite of what it seems to mean: It is not finals, it is the opposite. It is the beginning of your shitty exams life.

So many CEXes, non-ending attempts for MRCP (or equivalent)... etc etc...

Really, if i can pass this real finals of mine,

go back to Malaysia,

head to Borneo,

under the title Dr,

act kind, be nice,

Find one timber king,

rape his daughter,

become his son-in law,

report and hand in his corruption evidences to MACC if any, and if there is not, talk him into doing something which will legally jail him for a few years,

take over his company,

find 14 mistresses across the 14 states of our great Federation of Malaysia, to ensure greater national integration amongst member states of the federation;

redistribute the wealth to these poor young attractive mistresses so that the poor will become richer and directly contributes to the process of correcting the social imbalances across the dimensions of our divided community of various races, diversed culture backgrounds and different religious adherence.

to fulfill the aspiration of our founding fathers.

Consultant: Choon, if i give u someone with a history of CKD and complained of a backpain. Would you be surprised if I tell u the back x ray result shown "rugby jersey pattern of vertabra"

Choon: (Straight face) No.

Consultant:Ok... Why?

I observed a few qualities that i deemed universal among people that are going back malaysia to do fy1:

1. They know the name of the home minister.

2. The ratio of the number of malaysians studying in UK that they know to the number of angmohs they know is approximately 1000.

3. Their hobby: to waste time doing nothing together with a group of people who also like to just sit down and do nothing. Studying is teratogenically contraindicated up until 2 weeks before exams.

4. They do not speak English with an accent when they meet another fellow countryman. And they do not say Cheers Mate! Hey Ya! or those of similar category.

5. They are either superbly keen, or superbly slack. The in-betweens are usually the ones who will be staying here.

6. Their parents do not know that they would be sued if they stay here.

7. They claimed the peripheral allowances to the maximum.

8. They do not buy jackets or coats in their final year. Or anything that they cant get them home.

9. They got a gf at home or sort of.

10. They tend to blog. Actively blog. And probably subscribes to Malaysiakini.

Saturday, October 17, 2009

To some people, you might have been listening to this story a lot of times already. But because this is my blardy blog, I dictate what I blog, so ha ha ha.

So the story goes like this:

I think about 4 and a half years ago, I flew for the first time in my life, across half the planet from Penang-KL-London-Edinburgh.

I had with me a few hundred pounds in form of traveller's cheque and cash, from jpa.

And when I reached Heathrow, I was so hungry and thirsty. But I cant make myself to buy anything, or spend a single penny because I was still converting excessively: 7 ringgit to 1 pound.

I remembered drinking the tap water in the toilet and some ang moh apek told me that it is not safe to drink. So malu.

Then I took the connecting flight from Heathrow and I reached Edinburgh about 10.30pm, and this Malay dude, his name is Wafi, waited for me in the airport with another guy called PakYat, who drove to airport with him.

The first question I asked them, "Ei bros, you guys ada main bola ar?"

And it turned out that these two guys, until now, are probably high up in the top ten list of the most footie spirited people among all the people i ever knew.

And so, they said yes, and in fact they are going to play the next day, about 1 pm.

But then I didnt brought my footie shoes with me to UK at that time. Wafi said, no worries, tmr go buy.

I reached Abg Fadhil's house where I spent a night over before going to my own uni accom. He is one of the best cook i ever known, and he cooked for that house (the kampung melayu undergrads at that time) and he knew I was coming so he saved up some food for me. How nice.

So I still havent spent a single penny.

The next day, effectively about 10 hours later, Wafi brought me to buy shoe, to this place called the Sports World (now known as Sports Direct) in St James Mall.

I still vividly remember my first view of the castle when the bus travelled across the Princes St from West End. Stunning to the max.

Wafi paid the 80 pence bus fare (now 1.20pds) for me, because I dont have any change, and Lothian bus doesnt give change, until now.

In the Sports World shop, I found a pair of futsal boots, cap nike, for 20 pounds.

I took out my envelop, opened it, and took out 20 pounds, in one note, and bought the shoe.

And that was, the first Great Britain Pound Sterling I spent in my life.

On a pair of football shoe.

And today, 4 years and 3 months later, the shoe is still here.

But cant be used anymore, obviously. Holes everywhere. Even the studs are flat now. Like becoming bowling shoe already. But I still keep it, for memory.

Well maintained shoe.

In between, I also bought a lot of football shoe. Like:

It is always football shoes that I am generous with. Other shoes dont share the same love.

And by the way, just 2 days ago, I went to Sports Direct.

And after 2 years of search for a jogging shoe, I found this:

For 18 pounds. What a bargain!

No excuse not to go for a jog anymore.

This is my 3 rd sports shoe of my life. They tend to last long. Hopefully this will last.

Jay Chou + Leehom also cannot fight.

like not even near.

Cycling to GP is extreme la.

Sorryla bicycle, I cant do it more than two days.

Not to say extremely tiring, but due to the height of the seat, and also the consistency of the seat, I cant bear the pain anymore. (bike belongs to someone very tall...)

The site of the pain is....(pls contact me for further info. censored. so, u should know where already rite? ha ha...)

Today I so steam, I used another different route based on the direction of the sun. I remember my house is on the west of the Meadowbank, so I decided to use that road.

Which i calculated to be shorter.

Yes, it is shorter.

But then...

this route involved...

wait...let u see some pics first.

shit man, have to cycle pretty much 60 degree uphill...for 20 mins...wah lau wei.

but worth it.

See the romantic ugly couple there? (chiew...say ppl ugly...u damn handsome ar?)

yes...i am hansome.

See the helmet gantunged on the bike?

can u imagine it on my head? post show u all.

I need to sleep early, tmr running there. around 6km. Will allocate 1 hour. all my shirts, stetescope, shoe, shower eq, towel all i have in the GP already...can shower there...

Sure six pack man.

Cycling all the way to GP, 3.9 miles away only.

and actually it is very entertaining. Apart from the hugely icy temperature and monstrous winds, i think this morning i took less than 1.29 calories.

It is all downhill.

This morning it took me like 20 mins. Normally taking a bus there also much cost more and took much longer.

But then...

When i cycled back

I took around 40 mins. Because most of the journey was hiking with the bicycle.

And worst is, this morning in a very random chat with one of the receptionist, i said i wanna to try jog there.

and then i said, ha ha ha!

babi, during lunch, some random health visitor came to me and said, "i heard you are gonna run here from nicolson street. Thats very good!"

anyway, gp was fun, so far.

Polygamy Club

Read more from thestar.

RAWANG: When she was practicing law, Kartini Maarof once went beyond the call of duty for her divorce client.

She arranged for Rohaya Mohamad, a mother of seven, to be married again - to Kartini's own husband.

The spouse they have shared for a decade is 43-year-old Ikramullah Ashaari, who has four wives and 17 children. (POWERR!! Hero!)

His 72-year-old father has 38 offspring from five marriages, without ever having flouted Islam's prescribed limit of four wives at a time. (38? family car is a bus must be!!)

Polygamy is legal for Muslims in Malaysia, though not widespread.

The Ashaari clan believes it should be.

Last month it launched a "Polygamy Club" that claims the noble aim of helping single mothers, reformed prostitutes and women who feel they are past the marrying age.

"We want to change the way people perceive polygamy, so that it will be seen as something beautiful instead of something disgusting," said Hatijah Aam, the founder of the club. She is the fourth wife of Ikramullah's father, Ashaari Muhammad.

For the one-third of the population that isn't Muslim, polygamy is unlawful. (Aiyoyo..why la!)

Ang Family and Career Planning Advisor.

Here's a masterplan for my dear muslim friends who are on JPA and wish to extend their training here in UK after graduation.

Upon reaching final year, you must be pro-active and look around your university or even go outside your own universities looking for first year malaysian medical JPA scholar girl.

Applying all the communication skills and breaking sweet news etc etc you learnt so far, try to court her, and then try to marry her.

Do inform the JPA. Have a solid reason for this "urgent" marriage. I can easily suggest one: pregnancy. This is because I remembered JPA said scholars are not allowed to get married without informing them or solid reasoning etc etc.

But then, due to the morality and religious values set by our society and religion, you have to marry the girl, and you have the right to do so, when you ter-make her pregnant.

So, due to JPA's policy of not separating family, you have no choice but to stay here until your wife complete her studies.

Thats five years extension.

Then, when your wife is final year, your son is already on BMX, while you are already driving a BMW.

You should then again, try to look for another first year medical student on JPA. Again, applying your vast clinical experiences, extremely effective communication skills and your newly bought BMW, you should be able to court her, and then make her pregnant.

And then you have to marry her. If your wife (soon to be First Wife) disagree with your decision, then you should use your free texts to send her 3 talak sms.

So in the end, you will be able to marry your second wife (provided your first wife agrees) or she became your first wife (if your then-first wife had then became your ex-wife)

Then, you invoke the JPA not to separate family policy, to stay another 5 years.

And as you can have up to 4 wives, (provided you can keep all of them without talaking any of them) you have got yourself a 20 years extension.

and you distribute that opportunity to your wives as well (20 years for first wife, 15 years for second wife, 10 years for third wife, and 5 years for the forth one)

After 20 years extension, you should be able to pay off JPA, anyway and continue practicing medicine here, or opt to go back and serve the country.

Ha ha ha. Adios.

I dont think this is true. I mean, if u seriously think you are pretty, thats fine to me.

I think I am handsome.

Ha ha ha.

But I didnt said I am more handsome than wanglihom (we are probably of the same level... HAHAH)

But anyway,

if she with that look, thinks that she is hotter than deborah:

then either you have severe delusion - which is a psychiatric problem.

Or this video must be a prank.

Great story line.

Train Tics

So, I am going to give you some insights about this funny system/policy adopted by the great KTM of Great Britain.

When you purchase a train ticket in advance, u better make sure u dun lose it. misplace it. or anything like dat.

Because, say u bought a ticket to travel 3 months later, and you lose in tmr, your money gone to the drain already. Because, they practice non-reissue policy.

I cant seem to make myself understand such non-customer friendly policy.

Unless its like you are travelling tomorrow, and today you lose it, probably it is not easy for them to handle this reissueing.

Or maybe thinking on their behalf, this is to curb some people trying to use this way to claim lost ticket and then reissue and can travel both.

But that's an issue with your ticketing system. And we, as customer should not be allowed to shoulder this with you.

If we need to, then stop announcing that your policy is customer first. No.

Dear Sir/Madam;

I am writing to enquire about possibility of my ticket to be reissued. I misplaced the tickets and I m travelling on this coming Sunday. Is it possible to do that in one of the stations in London? I have got the card I used to book the ticket and I attached the confirmation email that I received.

Pls advise further

Thank you.

--------------------and i got this reply 2 weeks after that:

Dear Choon
Thank you for your email and my apologies for the delay in responding to you.
I am sorry that you had lost your tickets, unfortunately once tickets have been issued they cannot be re-issued as we do hold a non refundable/re-issue of tickets for lost or stolen tickets I am afraid.
Customer Relations

So i read forums and stuffs online regarding the matter of losing train tickets etc.

And i found out that if u lose it, thats you done.

So, i called up the KTM office, and said I didnt received the tickets since last month. Have been waiting since so long. why is that!! (angry voice)

and the guy over the phone take my details, and after like 10 mins, settle all the procedure to reissue another ticket for me.

matter solved.

thank KTM UK. I like ur customer service. FIrst class. People first. Performance Now.

(Kenot write the name of the company...later they knew...hahahaha)

I have to admit that I am a News Addict.

I follow our nation's news and politics very closely. Reading almost every single prominent politician's blog almost everyday.

And that is because I try to distract myself from reading medical related things.

Anyway, with the current lack-of-spice political climate in Malaysia, things get normalized. Once a while, yes, we still have the stunning revelation here and there, but thats nothing near like for example the Perak's change of government or Anwar's 916.

Now there are a few things which caught my attention nowadays, perhaps deserved a mention in my blog.

1. The CSL vs OTK's EGM of MCA.

It's gonna be so best if OTK loses his bid to retain his presidency to CSL. And that CSL is going to be a minister for the second time. It is interesting, at least to me bcause someone who got caught in a sex scandal can resign-and-then-comeback in such a dramatic fashion. 10 Oct is the decisive day, for all chinese as a whole.

2. Sarawak's Dams ambition.

Looks like CMS trying to make their last big bucks before the next state election (in which their chances of retaining the state is still as high as our blue sky) and the next GE, which some said might see the end of BN. I doubt so. highly.

3. PKFZ's ongoing dispute.

Forget about Tiong's 10mil loan to OTK. Not as boiling as this: now someone in last cabinet secretly released some documents which clearly pointed out that cabinet knew all along the PKFZ's bomb.

But no one in the government is answering the allegation of cabinet misconduct as rightly shown by the these cabinet papers. All the hoo-has was about this is OSA and abt these papers cannot be released, sampai incurred the wrath of PM. Amboi! But what about the content? PM said that is another issue all together. Err? Sorry say that again?

4. Bagan Pinang's by election.

This should be the first victory of BN in Peninsular after GE12. So it is not that interesting as a by-election. But what interest me is the UMNO's candidate limited choice- Isa, ex VP umno and MB NS for 20 over years.

Ppl always said in politics, once you are down, you are gone 4eva. But this dude still maintain the support of his division, like 100% support. Is he really that super good, apart from his money politics conviction, or his division is hoping that his comeback will then facilitate him back to the corridors of power and their division can reap the benefits then? Dunno.

5. MIC. Is MIC irrelevant after GE12?

I think the issue here is; the president. The party election has just concluded not long ago, and mr vellu stayed as president, world record. As indians represent 10% of population and almost all of them concentrated in Peninsular, BN's hope to come back for 2/3 is heavily influenced by the performance of MIC. Will lack of hot issues cause Hindraf to lose its influences and the "new MIC as said by mr vellu" make an incredible come back?

As I read the news day after day after day, I found one common thing;

The old news/scandals/etc were either under investigation, after so long, or just remain unresolved, just the issues got lessser public attention and dies off or a gag order issued for some public security reasons - u know which one.

I mean;

for example the biggies:

1. VK Lingam, anything done?
2. Khir Toyo? what happened?
3. Perak 2 frogs corruption case? Ongoing?
4. The issue which we are not supposed to talk about - yes.
5. Kugan's, Teoh's mystery death and police integrity?
6. My personal favourite - Anwar's sodomy take 2?
7. MACC's?

the list goes on and on and on and on...

but anyway, my concern is:

in the next 10 years, will things stay the same?

as in any big issues regarding big fishes will gradually get smaller and smaller and forgotten...

or some one will run a reform and take every single action to resolve any single injustice or misconduct happened?

THat is 1future we hope for.

Reform. We can only hope.
